National Weather Service Storm Spotters Course set for March 6th

ROXIE - Adams County Emergency Management has set their National Weather Service Storm Spotters Course for March 6, 2012. This very informative and educational public event is going to be held at the Adams County Sheriff Shooting Range (Southwest Mississippi Training Academy) located at  200 Foster Mound Road, Natchez, MS.  Classes are free and typically last about two hours long but are scheduled from 6:00PM until 9:00PM

Storm Spotter training consist of:


* Basics of thunderstorm development
* Fundamentals of storm structure
* Identifying potential severe weather features
* Information to report
* How to report information
* Basic severe weather safety
