Franklin County Memorial Hospital has a brighter future with new programs!

Franklin County Memorial Hospital (FCMH) has gone through some very tough times in the past but the future seems to be much brighter.  FCMH was designated a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) on May 1, 2009.  Now, they have entered a management agreement with Homochitto Management Group (HMG).  The management agreement with HMG brings Critical Access expertise to FCMH which enables them to maximize their payments from Medicare.  Being a Critical Access facility under the the leadership of the management group, FCMH has experienced tremendous growth not only in the number of great employees but, in the health care services offered.

As a CAH they have made gradual improvements to their facility such as upgrading their radiology equipment to digital which enables them to quickly receive over-reads on X-rays, CT's or Ultrasounds by a Radiologist in Natchez or any other off site location.  The have a full time Respiratory Department with the equipment to meet the respiratory needs of most all patients.

Last year they opened the Billy D. Martin Therapy Center.  FCMH now has Inpatient and Outpatient Physical TherapyOccupational TherapySpeech TherapyWound Care/Hyperbolic and Diabetic Education.  They continue to offer Acute Care ServiceJourneys Programs (Inpatient and Outpatient Geriatric Psych). The Swing Bed Program has expanded by finding a 'special need'.  FMCH is one of only one of the few hospitals in the nation to offer a 'Special Needs' Program

FCNH now has four (4) Physicians and six (6) Nurse Practitioners employed by the hospital to serve its patients.  It is planned by December of this year to have a new clinic building which will house three (3) clinic Physicians and three Clinic Nurse Practitioners.

FCMH has always been an important economic development factor in the area.  They have grown to 261 employees and their payroll is a very big economic asset to the county.

Franklin County Memorial Hospital's CEO/Administrator, Mr W. P. Dickey, Jr. stated "FCMH will continue to serve your healthcare needs with courteous, qualified healthcare professionals and the best medical equipment affordable to us.  FCMH looks forward to serving your healthcare needs for many years to come".

Wife shoots Husband over twenty dollars !

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked  for $20.00 for their first lovemaking encounter. In his highly aroused state,  her husband readily agreed.   This scenario was repeated each time they made  love for more than 40 years with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed.

Arriving home around noon one day she was surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state. During the next few minutes he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate   downsizing and he had been let go. It was unlikely that at the age of 59 he'd be able to find  another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed more than forty years of steady deposits and interest totaling  nearly $1 million. Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued  by the bank which were worth over $2 million and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank.

She explained that for more than three decades she had 'charged' him for sex  these holdings had multiplied and these were the  results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $3 million her husband was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out, 'If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business!'

That's when she shot him. You know, sometimes men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.

Roxie News - September 15, 2011 by Ms Mary Jackson

Happy Birthday to everyone having a birthday this week.  I pray they all have a blessed day.  I can't name them all for I might forget some of the names.

My mother-in-law went out of town for a few days last week.  She visited her sister in Centreville went on down to visit her son Marty in Louisiana.  She had a good trip and a good time.

Our church (Union Baptist Church, White Apple Rd)  is sponsoring a bass tournament at Black River Lake in Monterey, LA on Oct. 1st.  Proceeds will benefit our building fund.  There is a $ 50.00 entry fee and it starts at 8am until 3pm.  There will be prize money given out with a live broadcast by FM 104.7.  For more information or you need an entry form, contact Corky Evans at 601-384-2066.  All  your support will be greatly appreciated.

Ms. Francis Hines went in the hospital over the weekend.  Her heart has been giving her problems.  Hope she will get straightened out and will get to feeling better.  Please keep her in your prayers.

The 7th grade varsity football team (Franklin County School) won their game against Lawrence County Thursday night.  They played a good game.  Joseph is enjoying playing football this year.

We have been enjoying this cooler weather.  Hope it  sticks around.  It will soon be chili and soup weather!

Have a great week and be safe!

Business Owners - Facebook Pages are a GREAT tool for interacting with your Customer and Fans

The whole point of creating a Facebook Page for your business is to build a fan base of people interested in your product or service, right? Facebook Pages are a great tool for interacting with your fans on a regular basis and for them to discover whether or not your product or service is right for them.

But to build a HUGE fan base you need people clicking the all mighty "LIKE" button. Yep, the tiny little button sitting at the top of your page. :-)

Gone are the days of "Become a Fan." Today, it's all  about the "LIKES" and YOU WANT THEM (a lot of them!)

Because without them... you have ZERO reach. If you have zero reach, you make ZERO dollars.

And this is where most Page Admins fall flat on their  face.  Let me explain...

Have you ever visited a Facebook Page for a business, only to land on their "Wall" where you see the comments  and status updates?

If so, did it make you want to "LIKE" the page?  Probably not.

Allowing your visitors to land on your "Wall" is the #1 mistake  Page Admins are making all across Facebook.

But it doesn't have to be this way...

Because as a Page Admin, you have the ability to create a custom landing page AND set this page as your "Default Landing Tab" for your Page.

You'll first need to install an iFrame application into your page (which is beyond the scope of this post unfortunately.)  This will allow you to create a custom tab on your Page.

Once you have your custom tab, you will want to create  some type of "offer" along with a "call to action" to entice  people to "LIKE" your page.

An example offer would be something like this: "Click Like Above To Get Access To (Your PAGE)"

It's proven that you will get more "Likes" just by making this one small change to your Facebook Page.

Good luck!
