Is the water fire hydrant near your house working? Would it work if you had a fire? When is the last time it was checked it? How do the Volunteer Fire Departments in Franklin County go about checking them? Where are the reports? What is the schedule of inspecting them?. What kind of report/rating are we going to get when the State Fire Marshall does his inspection? Check your Business or your Home fire insurance premium next time ... and see if you really care !

The fire hydrants are supposed to be opened and flushed every 3 to 6 months! There are approximately 15 in Roxie that do not work.
