Local Organizers Need Volunteers for Upcoming Toy Drive

BUDE, MS - Volunteers from the Franklin Baptist Association  located at 122 Holly St N , Bude, MS 39630 (open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm - 601-384-2759) is in the process of organizing a group to start a Christmas Toy Drive to share toys with needy children in Franklin County.   Beginning in early September the group will be placing drop off boxes in stores located in Franklin County area.  Additional locations and more volunteers are needed.  

Organizers are getting the word out early so that volunteers can contact the FBA office with their questions, comments or suggestions.  Also, organizers are considering getting the school children involved by asking them to give one toy each as a way of 'sharing the Christmas spirit' within in the local  community.  Any and all ideas are welcome and direct donations are being accepted.  

Several fundraisers are already scheduled and others are in the planning stage.  To kick things off, there will be a Bake Sale held in front of B&B Foods Store located in Bude beginning at 11:00 am on July 21st. 

Plus a local favorite is planned.  Spaghetti Plate Dinner for $7.00 per plate to include a generous portion of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and tea is scheduled for July 30th from 11:00 am til 2:30 pm.  Plates should be pre-ordered in order to aid in preparing the food.  Place your order today by calling 601-384-2759 or 601-532-6240 or 601-384-6530 and show your support.  Plates can be picked up at the Baptist Assossociation building location at 122 Holly St N in Bude on the 30th beginning at 11:00 am.  All items to 'prepare' the meals have been donated, therefore; all fundraiser proceeds will go directly to the benefit of the Christmas Toy Drive
