Four FHS Students Sign College Scholarships

Roxie native and Franklin High soccer standout, Karlee Mullins, has signed a soccer scholarship with Jones County Junior College, one of the premier junior college soccer programs in the state. Ms. Mullins holds several FHS and district records including Most Goals Scored in a Season, Most Goals Scored in Career, Most Career Assist, Most Games Played and Most Career Starts in addition to having scored 144 goals in her six seasons. Ms Mullins has been selected to play in this years Annual All-Star Soccer Game in Clinton, Ms this Saturday, February 11th. Ms. Mullins is the first Franklin High product to play in this game.  


Senior defensive playmaker, C J O'Quinn, has signed with the Southwest Mississippi Communtiy College to play football.  He becomes the first FHS Bulldog to sign with the Bears since Maurice Surrell who signed in 1998.  O'Quinn is a 6 ft - 185 pound ball hawk who led the Bulldogs in tackles last season with 98 and also had 5 sacks. He joins the Southwest Bears who are expected to compete for a State Championship this coming season. 


Senior standout, Fred Coleman, a speedy kick returner and defensive back, will join the two year program at Co-Lin Communtiy College. The Wolves expect Mr. Coleman to come in early and contribute this coming season.  



Senior standout, Jimmy Barnes, a linebacker will join the two year program at Co-Lin Communtiy College. The Wolves expect Mr. Barnes contribute this coming season with his outstanding brand of defensive play.
