BUDE, MS - Rev. Jennings Poole, 85, died July 20, 2013 at his residence in Bude, MS. He was born March 10, 1928 in Brookhaven, MS. He was the son of Taylor Anderson and Bonnie Laird Poole. He was a retired Methodist Minister having served 22 ½ years at Bude United Methodist Church and was former pastor of Greendale United Methodist Church.
He worked for a number of years as a cameraman and co-host of Coffee with Judy and held daily devotions on WLBT-TV. He was also a rehabilitation counselor for Royal Maid Industries for the Blind in Hazelhurst. Rev. Poole was a professional photographer, and was well known for his wood craft and artistic ability having had his drawings displayed in many area throughout Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran where he served as a helicopter mechanic and instructor. Along with the love shown to his family, friends and church, Rev. Poole's main objection in life was to "draw people to Christ".
