Jaqaveon Anderson Scores First Points In Franklin County New Football League Play

All the players played very well in their very first game of the season.  However, running back Jaqaveon Anderson is credited with scoring the very first points for the 'Dawgs' inaugural game when he ran untouched for 58 yards off tackle to score the very first touchdown for  the new  TNT Football League Franklin County 'Bulldogs'.  

Anderson is a 5th grader at Franklin County Elementary.  He is the son of Erica Smith Henry Anderson and Kendrick King of Franklin County.  

Jaquaveon is off & running

Jaquaveon is known to his family as 'man-man' and he showed it today as the 'Dawgs' played their very first game against the Southern Ms Iron Horse of Mccomb, Ms in a game played at Mccomb High School which began the Leagues 8 game season.  Southern Ms Iron Horse was crowned Alamo City International Champs in San Antonio, Tx on Jan 28-29, 2012 and is one of the top tier teams in the TNT League.  TNT League is in its 4th year of promoting youth sports. 

Today's games, which began at 10:00 AM kicked off the new season, had the Franklin County Bulldogs scheduled against the Southern, Ms Iron Horse team.  The Mccomb High School stadium was an exciting place with an estimated crowd of over 600 people in attendance.  All of the hard work of  the Bulldog coaches, officials, volunteers and cheerleaders began to show off as the morning progressed.  


League organizer Chris Dillion said "my wife and me, with the help of a lot of people, started the league to give kids a place to play, have fun and learn the game of football"... "this is exciting and well worth the effort on every one's part" ... Also, he said "I am excited to have such a great group of coach's, parents and volunteers from Franklin County to join us this year" ... "as you know, it is all a learning experience but  they have started in the league by playing against two of most seasoned teams in Iron Horse and Ferriday ".... "as the season goes on you will see a great deal of improvement on each team making all this hard work pay off for the Bulldogs".

The next scheduled game for the three FC Bulldogs teams will be Saturday, Sept 8, 2012.  The Bulldogs will be playing the Ferriday Lil Trojans with the 6-8 year old game beginning at 10:00 AM at Ferriday High Football field in Ferriday, La; second game 9-10 year olds begins at 11:00 AM and third game 11-12 year old begins at 12:20 PM.  For more information go directly to TNT Sports web site by clicking here. 

The TNT Youth Football & Cheerleader Program was formed in early 2007 by Chris Dillon, Frankqunetta Dillon and Tony Brumfield. TNT is a program operated under Love Abroad, the Good News Association, a non-profit organization that serves the Mississippi and Louisiana  area.  TNT is dedicated to providing a character building program for both boys and girls through fundamental instructions associated with youth tackle football and cheer leading. 

TNT expects to foster and maintain the core values of Honesty, Loyalty, Integrity, Discipline, Respect, Sportsmanship and Commitment to be the highest standards associated with achievement, both athletic and academic. New Youth Football League Comes to Franklin County

Getting Instructions

BUDE, MS - Organizers have had several practices and the outlook for a new Franklin County Youth Football Organization looks very promising.  The new group is holding non contact practice at the soccer practice fields at the Industrial Park in Bude at 6:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  The ages for participation is from 6 to 12 and the age cutoff is August 1st.  A player must not reach his 13th birthday before August 1st to qualify.  League registration is still open and you can register your child at the Bude Town Hall this Tuesday, July 24th at 6:30 pm.  Cost for Football is $ 75.00 and the cost for Cheer Group is $45.00.
