ROXIE - The Franklin County FFA competed this week in a Southwest Federation contest held at Co-Lin Community College. There were five teams competing with Franklin County FFA Team taking First Place overall.
In the individual competition - Third place winners in Welding was: Shannon Forman, Devin Wheeler, and Tucker Whittington. First place winners and moving on to South District contest at Jones Junior College on March 21st in Opening and Closing was: Tom Conn, Gabe Rouse, Kayla Dier, Raigen Smallwood, Tyler Rushing, Lavonda Buie, and Tucker Whittington.
The FFA is the Premier Youth Leadership Organization. An organization dedicated to the development of the Youth of our nation, our state, and our communities; the Mississippi FFA is focused on providing the environment and the platform for your students and their parents to experience this powerful process. By teaching individuals how to overcome challenges in their lives so that they can help others in their schools and communities is the basis of the FFA's endeavors.
